Cycling is an environmentally friendly and cost-effective way to get around town.
Keep fit on your journey to work, go shopping or meet up with friends while respecting the environment and saving money! (petrol, vehicle upkeep, insurance, parking, etc.)
Choose from a classic bike, a folding bike or an electric bike.
How can I hire a bike?
Visit the ‘Espace vélo’:
49 avenue du Général de Gaulle
Open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 19:00,
Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 19:00.
‘L'Espace vélo’ is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Our staff are available to answer your questions on 02 43 24 76 76.
Documentation required :
- proof of identity
- deposit cheque (varying amount according to type of bike)
- proof of address in the Le Mans Métropole (dated within the last 3 months)
If no bicycles are available, you will be placed on the waiting list and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Did you know?
Bikes are accepted on the tramway between 09:30 and 11:30, from 14:30 to 16:30 and after 19:30. Please note, only one bicycle is allowed per carriage.
Bikes are not permitted on the bus.
